The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in cooperation with the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) and City of San Jose, is proposing to modify the existing SR17/I-280/I-880, I-280/Winchester Boulevard, and I-880/ Stevens Creek Boulevard interchanges in San Jose to improve operations and safety on the freeways and local roadways; improve access between the I-280 and I-880 freeway corridors; reduce the operational and safety problems; and reduce traffic congestion and delay in the project area.
