A brush fire on southbound Interstate 280 at Meridian Avenue in San Jose has closed the off-ramp on Friday afternoon.
The fire broke out at around 4:11 p.m. near the Meridian Avenue off-ramp. There are heavy smoke and fire in the area.
Structures are also threatened as a result of the fire. But at around 5 p.m., firefighters tweeted the forward progress of the fire has been stopped.
Drivers should expect major delays and use alternate routes....
