The City’s Zoning Code puts limitations on deliveries, such as deliveries are only permitted to take place from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. We are suspending these limitations to ensure food and other essential supplies can be delivered to stores and be available to the public. City Councilmembers will ratify this proclamation during a future Council Meeting.Small Business Administration/COVID-19 Loans: Per Governor Newsom recently signing the declaration, the Small Business Administration (SBA) Economic Injury loan program is now live in Santa Clara County and other counties across the state of California. The loan application is available here. Businessownerspace.com partners MBDA, SBDC, and SCORE will be available to help prepare loan paperwork. The Office of Economic Development developed a helpful FAQ for the local business community.City Council Meeting: The March 17 San José City Council meeting will continue as planned. The space will be set up to allow for social distancing between all attendees including staff, Councilmembers, and the public.Rules and Open Government Committee: The March 18 San José Rules and Open Government Committee meeting will continue as planned. The space will be set up to allow for social distancing between all attendees including staff, Councilmembers, and the public.Affordable Housing Developer Roundtable: The Affordable Housing Developer Roundtable scheduled for March 20 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. is postponed. A new date has not yet been set. Anyone with questions about this should contact Kemit Mawakana at Kemit.Mawakana@sanjoseca.gov.Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS): All PRNS facilities are closed to the public and therefore all programming is suspended until further notice.Senior Nutrition Program: The Senior Nutrition Program will transition to curbside pick starting Wednesday, March 18.Food Distribution to Vulnerable Populations: The City of San Jose is partnering with the County of Santa Clara to coordinate food distribution to vulnerable populations throughout the county. The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services will take the lead on this effort and coordinate with cities throughout the county.Neighborhood Center Partner Program “Reuse” Request for Qualifications: Release of the Neighborhood Center Partner Program RFQ has been postponeTrees and Sidewalks Permit Center: The Trees and Sidewalks Permit Center located at 1404 Mabury Road is closed to the public until further notice.
