Read the latest County guidance. Updates on City Services and/or Operations City Council Meeting: The San Jose City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, will continue as planned, and the public is asked to observe the County’s guidance for social distancing during the meeting. An overflow room for the public will be located in Wing Room 120, adjacent to City Council Chambers.Senior Bus Trips: The City of San José’s Senior Bus Trips are temporarily canceled until the month of May. Senior Meals Program: The City of San José’s Senior Nutrition Program will transition to a boxed to-go, pick-up format until further notice.Animal Care Shelter: The Vaccine Clinic scheduled for Saturdays through April 4 is canceled due to COVID-19 precautions."Career Exploration Day at the City of San José" in conjunction with San Jose State University, was scheduled for March 11 in the City Hall Rotunda, but has been postponed until Fall 2020.Grace Art and Wellness Programs at Northside Community Center: Temporarily canceled until March 12. Rent Stabilization Program: Community Workshop scheduled for March 12, 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Rosemary Elementary School has been canceled. City Services and/or Operations NOT Changing San José City Hall and Development Services and Permit Center: Regular operations continue.San José Department of Transportation: The Parking and Transportation Permits Desk in City Hall 8th Floor remains open, as do the Trees and Sidewalks Permits Desk at the Mabury Corporation Yard and DOT Dispatch Services, at (408) 794-1900.San José Police and Fire Departments: Regular operations continue. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC): Regular operations continue, although Hainan Airlines has temporarily suspended its nonstop service to/from Beijing, China. As always, check with your airline for the latest flight status updates before heading to the airport.Garbage and Recycling Service: Garbage and Recycling service collection will continue as normal. Residents can contact their garbage, recycling, or yard trimmings company to report missed collections, damaged carts, or to change cart size. Visit www.sjenvironment.org/lookup to locate collection companies.Libraries: All City libraries are open during regular operating hours.Community Centers: Community Centers are open today during regular operating hours. Some services, meetings may be cancelled or postponed. Some services, meetings may be cancelled or postponed. Visit sanjoseca.gov for updates. General Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteer opportunities will proceed as scheduled today. Some services, meetings may be cancelled or postponed. Visit sanjoseca.gov for updates.General Senior and Recreation Programming: Community Centers are open today during regular operating hours. Visit sanjoseca.gov for updates.Animal Shelter: Facilities are open during regular hours. Some services and meetings may be cancelled or postponed. See notices posted at facilities, and check sanjoseca.gov for updates.Team San José Event Facilities: The Convention Center, San Jose Civic, California Theatre, Montgomery Theater and the Center for Performing Arts will continue events as scheduled unless otherwise announced. Customer Contact Center: The City’s Customer Contact Center, located in the first floor lobby of City Hall, 200 E. Santa Clara Street, or by phone at 3-1-1 (408-535-3500), will continue regular operating hours.
