San Jose unanimously approved Insight Realty’s Museum Place project on Tuesday. The developer secured a labor agreement with labor unions for the entirety of the project, the Silicon Valley Business Journal reports. Museum Place will be one of the largest mixed-use developments in Downtown San Jose. The project includes a 24-story tower with 214K SF of office, 18K SF of ground-level retail, a 184-room Kimpton hotel and over 300 residential units. Parkside Hall will be demolished to make way for this tower. The project also will extend The Tech Museum of Innovation by 60K SF.

China New Era is financing the project designed by Steinberg. Level 10 Construction will be general contractor, and Colliers International is tasked with leasing the space. Polaris Pacific will market the residential units. Read more at: https://www.bisnow.com/silicon-valley/news/mixed-use/museum-place-approved-san-jose-city-council-78412
