San Jose: Man shot in Buena Vista neighborhood

SAN JOSE — Police are investigating a shooting that wounded a man Tuesday night in San Jose’s Buena Vista neighborhood. Just after 7 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 1700 block of Scott Street, between Leigh and Richmond avenues. They arrived to find a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, said Officer Gina Tepoorten of the San Jose Police Department.

Tepoorten said the victim, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not identified or arrested any suspects, and additional details about the case were not available. Anyone with information about the shooting can leave a tip with Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers at 408-947-STOP (7867) or svcrimestoppers.org. Tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward.
